An outstanding tasting snap bush bean. Terrific quality and yield for freezing, canning and fresh eating. Vigorous stocky plants produce heavy yields of long, straight 5-6 inch stringless pods. A 1979 introduction from Gurney's, it was named "Empress" and has been favored ever since.
